Reasons for Quail hunting at
Diamond Nine Ranch
Habitat –Native grasses and wild sand plums offer cover for the Quail. But unlike many areas of the country our farming and ranching practices have changed very little over the past 50 years.
Herbicides--No chemicals are used in our ranch management.
Over 20,000 acres to hunt -We don’t continue to hunt the same coveys day after day, we try not to go back to the same area more than once every two weeks.
Family owned -Almost all of our ground is owned by family members, so management of our hunting is considered in a long term, rather than leasing.
Sparsely Populated -Many people enjoy getting away from the hectic pace of city life, and are able to enjoy nature.
No birds are released -All our Quail are wild birds.
Home-cooked meals -If you like homemade bread and pies, “fresh daily” and steaks grilled to your taste, you will enjoy the meals we serve.
Nice comfortable Lodge --The lodge is near a creek, so you are able to enjoy some of the nicest scenery in our area. You will also enjoy being out in the peace and quiet that a secluded lodge offers.
Just a few testimonies
Comments from some of our guests

A guest from North Carolina says –
“This brings back fond memories of hunting as a young man in the South and the cooking brings back memories of my grandmother.”
A guest from Virginia says –
“It is so much fun that I come back to hunt with you, three times a year.”
A guest from Texas says –
“Thanks for not releasing any birds.”
